| What's Happening at BHB |
Winter of 2011
With the holiday season upon us, Mark and I feel so blessed. We are very thankful of our wonderful group of people and horses that make up Bozeman Horse Boarding.
Happy Holidays!!
Welcome to BHB- Charlie, Chase, Star, Gatsby, Pan, Groovy, Katie, Jazz, Duke and Snoopy

Mojo, one of our new barn kitties, wakes from a snooze in the tackroom.

|

This fall, we replaced many old rails in the paddocks and drylots.

We are very proud of our super clean winter paddocks. It is a lot of hard work, but we think your horse is worth it.

| From Our Customers |
"I came to BHB with my horse Scottie after trying two other places in Bozeman. Neither place
satisfied my expectations for Scottie's safety or care. BHB was the best decision. They far
exceeded all my hopes and provided the best environment for me and Scottie, and they really focused
on making up for the poorer food Scottie had been getting. Thanks to the truly expert care at BHB,
Scottie is thriving! Thank you Lynette and Mark!"

"I have had my two horses under the care of Bozeman Horse Boarding for quite a few years. I can
take care of my home and business with the confidence that they are under the watchful eyes of
Mark, Lynette and their crew. They don't just manage a facility, they get to know each horse
and their owner. From young stock to geriatrics, they anticipate and respond to changing needs.
Clean, dependable and most importantly, happy horses!"
Bonnie Hickey (TLA Fanci Accent and Plastil)
"I am so happy with BHB! My mare (horse) and mini-donkeys love it here. Mark and Lynette have
gone above and beyond in taking care of my animals. I highly recommend BHB to anyone with horse
boarding needs."
Kim Boyle
"I've really enjoyed my time here at Bozeman Horse Boarding. This peaceful and well-kept facility
is a labor of love and it shows. My mare has been her happiest since being here! Thanks Mark and
Lynette."
Carissa Grimm (and Pearl)
"I can't thank you enough for being so willing to help out when I needed to get my poor, sweet
Sara to Montana Equine. Not just anyone would have agreed to do that for a perfect stranger.
You were really life savers and your concern and caring for Sara warmed my heart. I will call
you about hauling manure this winter or spring and also if I need a horse moved, hopefully under
cheerier circumstances. Had Peter (Dr. Heidmann) been able to save Sara, it would only have been
possible because of your kindness. I am eternally grateful to both of you!"

| About Us |
Mark Slater has continuously owned a horse since he was 15 years old. His father moved the family
to Bozeman in 1976 and Mark was soon helping local ranchers move cows and later enjoyed team
roping. He started boarding horses on Nelson Road over 16 years ago. He filled a niche when
he began hauling manure from other stables and many private facilities around the valley. A
competitive runner with 8 marathons under his belt, Mark also helps his sister Joye run the
family business, Engine Machine and Supply. Mark is the proud father of two sons, Nick, 17 and
Riley, 13. He owns 3 Paints, Bob, Tucker and Diva, that he uses for trails, hunting and
pleasure.

Lynette Slater was born loving horses and walked blisters on her grandfather's feet at the pony
rides as a little girl. She got her first horse at 12 and grew up riding with and working for
noted Texas clinician and dressage "S" judge Dinah Babcock. She has ridden with Carol Lavell,
Paul Belasik and more recently with Ruth Sabine Vogt, author of "Feeling Dressage". Lynette
moved to Bozeman from Texas 18 years ago. She was barn manager for Fred and Lucy Leadbeater
at All Star Stables in Bozeman and at their private facility in Paso Robles, CA specializing
in reined cow horses. She owns Hobie and Maggie, retired Thoroughbreds and Zydeco, an Appendix
QH by The Last Captive.
